No shortage of oxygen in government and private hospitals in Sangrur: Deputy Commissioner

The district administration and the health department are fully committed to provide the best healthcare facilities to the patients of Covid-19 in Sangrur district and there is no shortage of oxygen in the public and private hospitals of the district. These views were expressed by the Deputy Commissioner Mr. Ramvir while interacting with the people of the district during the weekly Facebook Live program.
Mr. Ramvir said that all the residents of the district should cooperate to stop the spread of coronavirus. He said that following the advisory issued by the Punjab Government and the Health Department, people need to make positive changes in their lifestyle. He said that as per the advice of health experts, it should be ensured to wear mask at all times, the principle of social distancing should be followed and hands should be washed with soap and water or with sanitizer.
The Deputy Commissioner said that in view of COVID-19, the restrictions imposed in the interest of the people in Sangrur district should be ensured so that the chain of coronavirus could be broken. He said that the closing time of shops in the district has been fixed at 5 pm daily. Weekends, Saturdays and Sundays, will be completely closed except for essential services. He said that the residents of the district should refrain from leaving their homes without any urgent work. He said that no more than 10 persons should be assembled for pre-arranged marriages etc. and a maximum of 20 persons could be assembled for which approval from the office of Deputy Commissioner would be required.

The Deputy Commissioner said that the district administration and the health department were in the process of vaccination against Covid -19 under which special camps were being set up in all the government hospitals besides villages and urban areas. He appealed to all the residents of the district to protect themselves, their families and the society by getting vaccinated.
