No syllabus reduced yet, a committee of experts will be formed to reduce the syllabus

The Punjab Government has denied any reduction in the syllabus of any class. Disclosing this here today a spokesperson of the education department said that it has been noticed that the reduced syllabus of various subjects of classes IX to XII of Punjab School Education Board for the session 2020-21 has been uploaded on the website of the board without any approval . The Director State Education Research and Training Council Punjab brought the matter to the notice of the Chairman Punjab School Education Board and the Board removed it from the website.

According to the spokesperson, the syllabus was uploaded on the board’s website without the approval of the government, which is a serious negligence. According to the spokesperson the Director State Education Research and Training Council Punjab has written to the Chairman Punjab School Education Board to take departmental action against any employee who has uploaded this syllabus on the site.

Director SCERT. Mr. Jagtar Singh Kularia said that in order to reduce the curriculum due to covid-19 infection, a committee of education experts is being constituted in the office of the State Director, State Council for Education Research and Training, Punjab. After a thorough review by the committee, these recommendations will be forwarded to the government and action will be taken on the curriculum after getting the approval of the government. The syllabus of any class has not been reduced yet.
