Jalandhar, May 28 : Mahila Kisan Union, a member of Sanyukt Kisan Morcha, has strongly condemned the manhandling and illegal arrest of hundreds of farmers, elderly women and social workers, including Olympian wrestlers by the Delhi Police at the behest of the BJP government who were protesting at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi, and demanding the removal of BJP MP Brij Bhushan Singh, President of Wrestling Federation of India, accused of molesting women wrestlers.
The Mahila Kisan Union President Biba Rajwinder Kaur Raju, who reached Delhi at Jantar Mantar with women union members, bemoaned that instead of providing justice to the daughters of the country who are demanding justice against sexual harassment, the union government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi was oppressing, torturing and persecuting the girls, therefore all peace-loving forces of the country need to unite against this dictatorship.
The farmer leader informed that during the arrest, male members of Delhi Police shamelessly dragged women and threw them into buses during arrests. In Capital, where the celebrations were ongoing for new building of the Parliament, a pillar of democracy, on the other hand democratic values were being ruthlessly crushed at some distance at the behest of the same dispensation.
The woman farmer leader Biba Raju alleged that the wrestler girls have enhanced the glory of India’s name and tricolor flag abroad by winning Olympic medals, while the saffron BJP government, despite one and a half dozen criminal cases had already taken registered against this ‘Bahubali’ BJP politician, and guilty of sexually abusing girls, the Modi government was hell bent on saving their criminal MP.
Biba Rajwinder Kaur Raju has demanded that this BJP politician with criminal background, should be immediately arrested in both cases of sexual harassment registered against him and the union government should remove him from all constitutional posts.
