Om Prakash Soni Directs To Accomplish Construction Of Gmc Kapurthala & Hoshiarpur Within A Year

Punjab Medical Education and Research Minister Mr. Om Prakash Soni has directed the concerned authorities to complete the construction work of Government Medical College Kapurthala and Hoshiarpur within a year.

Mr. Soni today reviewed the progress of both projects in a meeting held here with the officials of Medical Education & Research Department, representatives of Districts Administration, Chief Engineer PWD, Chief Architect Punjab and officials of Revenue Department.

Taking stock of the present status of these projects, the Minister asked to ensure that the required infrastructure should be ready within stipulated time frame and well before the date fixed by the Punjab Government for starting these colleges.

During the meeting, the Minister also directed the Principal Secretary Medical Education and Research Mr. D.K. Tewari to visit both places besides holding meetings with concerned authorities. He also asked to resolve issues, if any, regarding the projects so that these could be completed within a year.

Instructing to start the tender process for the construction of these colleges in the next few days, Mr. Soni said that these colleges should be constructed as per the latest modern techniques besides having ultra modern facilities and infrastructure.
