Online transfer portal will now be kept open till March 7: Vijay Inder Singla

Date:

Chandigarh, March 4:

Taking serious note of the problems being faced by the teachers aspiring for transfers, the Education Department has decided to extend the date of submitting online applications. The portal will now be kept open till March 7, 2021, said the School Education Minister, Vijay Inder Singla. The cabinet minister said that those who have applied earlier, would also be able to make necessary amendments in the applications on portal, if any.

Allaying apprehensions and misconceptions being spread by some rumour mongers, Mr Vijay Inder Singla has categorically stated today that no rationalisation of the posts was underway and the process of online transfers with utmost transparency has been going on.

He added the department is not going to shift any post from any school but the state government, keeping in view the enhancement in enrollment , has sanctioned new posts to give a fillip to the qualitative improvement in education as well as employment avenues for budding teachers. Hence, the teachers should not get misled by rumours, added the Education Minister.

Mr. Singla said that till date, around 7,000 teachers have availed the benefits of the online transfer policy.
