Accusing the opposition parties, the Aam Aadmi Party said that Congress-BJP and Akali Dal are doing politics of abuses and accusations. Whereas Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is doing politics of work.
Addressing a press conference along with AAP Punjab General Secretary Harchand Singh Barsat and Secretary Rajwinder Kaur Thiara in Jalandhar on Sunday, Malwinder Kang said that the Mann government’s decision to honor the toppers of the Punjab School Examination Board like sports is commendable. This will boost the morale of the students and improve the quality of education.
Apart from this, the Mann Government has issued an order to consider all the students scoring equal marks as one, so that justice will be given to the topper students scoring equal marks. Earlier, the topper was declared on the basis of younger age among those who scored equal marks.
Kang said that the enrollment in government schools has increased by two lacs this year due to the sincere efforts of the Mann government to improve the education system. Apart from this, for the infrastructure development of the schools, the Education Minister has announced that there will be a school development meeting every week.
He said that the AAP Government is giving financial help to the children of poor families, so that they do not face any problem in their studies. While one lakh students used to get SC scholarship during the Congress government, this year two and a half lakh students have applied for SC scholarship. During the Congress government, there was a big scam in SC scholarship.
Mentioning the Punjabi University Kang said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has announced a grant of Rs 30 crore per month for the progress and to make this university debt-free. This will greatly improve the higher education system of Punjab.
Addressing the press conference, AAP Punjab General Secretary Harchand Singh Barsat said that the people of Jalandhar are highly impressed by the performance of the Aam Aadmi Party and Bhagwant Mann government. The AAP candidate is getting huge support all around and there is a lot of enthusiasm among the people towards the party.
He attacked the Congress party and said that the condition of the Congress in Jalandhar has become so bad that three of its local in-charges have fled the field. He said that without doubt the Aam Aadmi Party is winning this election with a huge margin.
