A state government spokesman informed that to enable the employees in working in Factories situated in the adjoining area with the State of Haryana, the voters of Haryana working in the State of Punjab may be allowed paid holiday on the day of poll i.e. 30-10-2021 (Saturday), So that the voters of Haryana State working in the State of Punjab be able to cast their votes, it is considered in the public interest to declare 30-10-2021 (Saturday) as a paid holiday in the said area.
