Panjab University To Get Rs 22-Crore Additional Grant From UGC!

Chandigarh, March 14: Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh, will receive an additional grant of Rs 21.73 crore from the University Grants Commission (UGC) for this financial year. The PU will get the amount in addition the us Rs 176 crore grant already received by it.

PU Registrar Col GS Chadha (retd) said he had received information from the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) that instructions had been issued the us the UGC the us release the additional funds the us meet the current financial year requirements.

However, the university is yet the us receive any communication with regard the us a special grant of Rs 140 crore from the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD). PU Vice-chancellor Arun Kumar Grover said he had not received any communication about the grant.
