Chandigarh, February 24:
To extend the secondary and tertiary healthcare services under ‘AB-Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojna’, the process of generating e-cards is in full swing in all districts in which District Pathankot has topped in Punjab by covering the highest number of eligible families. It was disclosed here today in press communiqué by CEO, State Health Agency, Mr. Amit Kumar.
Giving further details he said that e-cards are being generated at Common Service Centres, Market Committees of Mandi Board and Sewa Kendras and to ensure e-cards to be issued to all eligible beneficiaries, the State Government has observed the “Ek hafte di vishesh muhim”-22nd Feb. to 28th Feb. He said that 49,41,952 e-cards have been issued to the beneficiaries till date.
Revealing further, he said that the treatment under this Scheme had been commenced from 20th August 2019 and more than 5,71,924 patients across the Stae had been admitted at Public and Private hospitals and provided cashless treatment worth Rs. 638.60 crores.
To ensure the medical benefits at all empanelled hospitals, he said that ‘Beneficiary Feedback Portal’ has been launched for obtaining feedback from all beneficiaries who take treatment under the Scheme, via calls, messages, and online feedback forms. So far, 95% of the beneficiaries have reported that they are satisfied with the services provided to them under the Scheme.
He divulged that 5 categories namely Smart Ration card holders, Small Traders, J-form holder farmers, Small and Marginal farmers and Accredited and Yellow card holder Journalists are covered to extend cashless treatments.
Mr. Amit Kumar said that this Scheme does not discriminate on the basis of the number, age or gender of the family members and that all the members of the family are included for access to free in-patient health services. The main objective of the Scheme is to provide free health services to the people so that the economic burden on people for treatment can be reduced.
