Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) Punjab chief ministerial candidate Bhagwant Mann (MP Sangrur) launched a scathing attack on the Akali Dal and the Badal family. Mann targeted the Badal family and said that some selfish leaders, sitting in power, ran illegal drug business in entire Punjab and ruined the lives of lakhs of youth in Punjab. To earn money, these selfish leaders killed thousands of youngsters and destroyed lakhs of families. This time the people of Punjab will teach a lesson to these drug dealers.
On Thursday, Bhagwant Mann campaigned in favour of AAP candidates in various constituencies of Patiala. Here he campaigned for Aam Aadmi Party’s Gurlal Singh Ghanaur in Ghanaur assembly constituency, Harmeet Singh Pathanmajra in Sanour, Ajitpal Singh Kohli in Patiala Urban, Chetan Singh Jormajra in Samana and AAP candidate Kulwant Baazigar in Shutrana constituency and appealed to the people to form the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab by winning AAP’s candidates with a thumping majority.
Attacking the Congress government Mann said that in the last elections, Congress had promised the people of Punjab to eradicate drugs within four weeks, but after coming to power, they gave government protection to drug mafia. Due to the nexus of politicians sitting in power and drug mafia, today ‘Chitta’ and other intoxicants are available everywhere in Punjab. The illegal drug dealers are running their business fearlessly. They have no fear of police-administration, because they have the protection of Congress government. This nexus cost our youth their education and career and destroyed the lives of lakhs of families.
Mann appealed to the people to support the Aam Aadmi Party and said that Punjab should not suffer due to the drug mafia anymore. This time we have a chance to teach a lesson to drug dealers. This time there is a chance to get the youth out of the swamp of drugs and give them good education and employment. Just give one chance to AAP. We will put an end to the nefarious nexus of these selfish and corrupt politicians and drug mafia. Bhagwant Mann appealed the people to vote for ‘Jharoo’ to form mafia free government in Punjab.
