People show tremendous response on the number released by AAP; about 22 lakh people expressed their opinion

Date:

Chandigarh, January 17

People have shown a tremendous response to the number released by ‘AAP’ to choose the chief ministerial face of the party for trhe upcoming Legislative Assemble elections in Punjab. On Monday, senior AAP leader and Leader of Opposition Harpal Singh Cheema informed the media that till 5:00 pm on January 17th, around 22 lakh people expressed their opinion and named their favorite chief minister on the number released by the party. He said that according to the received public opinion, AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal will announce the name of the Chief Minister on Tuesday.

Cheema said that for the first time in the history of India, Aam Aadmi Party has taken the opinion of the people to declare their Chief Minister Candidate. The Chief Minister of the people’s choice will be the Chief Minister of Punjab. Aam Aadmi Party has ended the tradition way of choosing the Chief Minister that is deciding behind the closed doors, to end the politics of nepotism and heritage. He added that other political parties like Akali, Congress and BJP can never decide their CM face through this method.

On AAP candidate Ashu Bangar joining Congress, Cheema said that what Congress party is doing, by tearing apart AAP candidates, is vile act of politics. Our candidates are being sabotaged under the conspiracy. Congress has approached many of our candidates and is giving them all kinds of lures to join Congress. He also accused the Congress of intimidating AAP candidates. He said that Ashu Bangar has a hospital in Moga, against which a serious legal case has been going on. Due to the fear of going to jail, he joined the Congress and Aam Aadmi Party has no need for such cowardly candidates.
