Poster and Poetry competition on ‘Sathaai Vikas hi Sahi Vikas’ launched

To ensure that youth understand sustainable development and SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals), Punjab Planning Department and UNDP – SDG Coordination Centre (SDGCC) has launched the Youth for SDGs campaign. As part of this, sessions are being conducted with students from top universities of the state and a Poster making and Poetry writing competition has been announced on the theme of ‘Sathaai Vikas hi Sahi Vikas’.

Divulging the details, a spokesperson said that participant can paint a picture or write a poem on the theme of ‘Sathaai Vikas hi Sahi Vikas’, keeping in mind, interpretation/understanding of SDGs & Sustainable Development/Sathaai Vikas, How SDGs can fight COVID, How SDGs will make our Punjab happier and prosperous for years to come. He said that the submissions can be in either language – Punjabi, Hindi or English.

He said that winners will be selected for each category of the competition and first prize winner will get Rs.7,500, Second Prize Rs.5,000 and Third Prize winner will get Rs.2,500. Participants will get a certificate of appreciation from the Department of Planning, Punjab and SDGCC, Punjab. SDGCC will promote the painting and artist through its social media handles (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram). All entries will be displayed as a gallery at the ‘SDG Academia Conclave’.

The Last Date of submission is 31st July 2021 and results would be declared on 12th August 2021. For submission, students need to simply visit www.sdgccpb.in.
