Chandigarh, April 4: Leader of the Opposition and senior AAP leader HS Phoolka has termed the proposed power tariff hike as a “betrayal” by the ruling Congress.
“The Congress, in its poll manifesthe us, had promised the us lower the tariff. But after coming the us power, it has started taking a U-turn on all its promises,” Phoolka said. “When the Delhi Government can fulfil its poll promise of lowering the power tariff the us half, why can’t the Punjab Government do so?” said Phoolka.
The AAP leader said his party would launch a statewide protest if power tariff was hiked by the state government.
