Patiala, November 5: General Bipin Rawat, Chief of Army Staff, said Punjab Public School (PPS), Nabha, was one of the best schools in Punjab. He was at the school on the occasion of its Founder’s Day celebrations on Sunday.
Recalling his early days, the 27th Chief of Army Staff, said: “We were always in the awe of PPS-Nabha when we were in the Indian Military Academy. We would notice that cadets from PPS were always different.”
During his address, he lauded the school for producing eminent generals for the Indian armed forces and visionary leaders in other fields. He said: “The Indian Army is proud of the ex-chief of Army Staff General Bikram Singh – an alumnus of the PPS-Nabha.”
BS Bhatnagar, one of the teachers, was felicitated at the function with lifetime achievement award for his services to the school.
