Process of receiving applications from Physically Challenged Students for scholarships starts

The government has opened a portal for receiving the applications from physically challenged students for scholarship 2021-22.

Disclosing this here today a spokesperson of the Punjab School Education Department said that the physically challenged students are given scholarships by the Empowerment for Persons with Disabilities Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India. The last date for receipt of applications for Pre-Matric Scholarship is November 15 and for Post-Matric Scholarship is November 30. Physically challenged students can apply for this scholarship online on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) (www.scholarship.gov.in). Applications received by students on the portal will be verified by the school / college head. Applications verified by the school / college will be verified by the Nodal Officer at the state level. The scholarships will be sent to the eligible candidates by the Government of India in their bank accounts.

According to the spokesperson, the school education department has directed the teachers to ensure that every physically challenged students should apply for the scholarship so that all the students could avail the benefit.
