PSPCL introduces VDS for regularization of unauthorized extension in load

Chandigarh, November 16, 2017 : Due to lowering of groundwater level and as per demand of various Kissan Unions for introduction of Voluntary Disclosure Scheme –VDS – simplification of the process of regularization of Agriculture Tubewell (AP) load, the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited – PSPCL has decided to introduce VDS for the regularization of un-authorized extension in load of Agriculture Tubewell (AP) consumers.

The VDS for AP tubewell connections shall come in force with immediate effect – from date of issue of the circular and shall remain operative for a period of four months.

The field officers have been requested to give wide publicity to the scheme and organize mass consumer contact camps in rural areas on weekends to regularize the higher capacity motors during the VDS period.

The State Electricity Regulatory Commission – PSERC has issued order dated 10.11.17 against petition No.57 of 2017 and the salient features of the scheme has been circulated to all Engineers in Chief and Chief Engineers in the state for compliance for regularization/extension in load, contained in PSERC (Supply Code and Related Matters) Regulations 2014, as amended from time to time.
