PU VC expresses grief on demise of PU alumnus S Nihal Singh

​​Chandigarh, April 17, 2018: ​Prof. Arun Kumar Grover, Vice Chancellor, Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh expressed his grief and shock on the demise of noted veteran journalist and political commentator, S. Nihal Singh saying that PU lost an iconic Alumnus of international stature.

An avid reader and connoisseur of fine sensibilities, the octogenarian journalist and author, Nihal donated his vast collection of books that were a part of his personal library to School of Communication Studies (SCS), Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh, informed Prof Grover.

The repository of books, which includes rare and special editions, along with books in German, Russian, French and Malayalam, besides English, is accessible to public at the S. Nihal Singh Book Corner at SCS – a special reading corner dedicated to his collection.

Prof Grover informed that Surendra Nihal Singh also delivered the prestigious Panjab University (PU) Colloquium on the topic of “Indian Politics: The Tipping Point”.
