CHANDIGARH, DECEMBER 31: Punjab Cabinet Minister and National Spokesperson of Congress Party Vijay Inder Singh has been appointed Secretary, All India Congress Committee (AICC).
On his appointment, Singla extended gratitude to AICC President Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh for reposing faith in him. He assured the Party leadership that he would discharge his responsibility with utmost dedication besides propagating the pro-people policies of the party at grassroots level.
Pertinently, Singla has played a significant role as Election Commissioner during organisational elections of All India Youth Congress.
Earlier, Vijay Inder Singla also remained president of Punjab Youth Congress, Chairman PEDA and Member Parliament from Sangrur. After electing as MLA from Sangrur in 2017, Singla is presently holding the PWD and Education portfolios in the Punjab Cabinet.
