Chandigarh, May 24:
Congratulating the toppers of the 10+2 exam the results of which were declared by the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) on Wednesday, the Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that the state government will felicitate these bright students with a cash award of Rs 51,000 soon.
In a statement, the Chief Minister said that it is a matter of great pride and satisfaction that girls have once again outnumbered the boys by securing top positions in the exam. He said that it is equally heartening to learn that Mansa district has secured first position across the state in the result of these exams. Bhagwant Mann congratulated these meritorious students who have cleared this exam and extended best wishes to them for their future.
The Chief Minister said that it is a historic day for the state as these students have proved their mettle by excelling in these exams. He said these students had burned midnight oil to succeed in exams and had been able to shine through their hard work, perseverance and dedication. Bhagwant Mann said that this is really a momentous day for all of us for which the students, their parents and teachers deserve accolades.
The Chief Minister envisioned that these students will become role models for other students and inspire them to excel in the arena of education by pursuing higher education. He said that the state government is committed to providing the best environment of school education for the students, especially the girls, so that they can succeed in their lives. Bhagwant Mann envisioned that the cash prizes will help in encouraging the students to excel in the field of education and enable them to carve a niche for themselves in several competitive exams.
