Punjab CM Channi pays obeisance at ‘Tap Asthan’ of Guru Ravidass at Khuralgarh

Punjab Chief Minister Mr Charanjit Singh Channi on Saturday visited the ‘Tap Asthan’ of Sri Guru Ravidass Ji to pay obeisance and took blessings.

The Chief Minister, who reached at the Tap Asthan in afternoon, prayed for the well being of entire humanity (Sarbat Da Bhala).

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that Sri Guru Ravidass Ji gave the message of welfare of entire humanity, equality of all the sections of the society thus creating a society based on egalitarian values. “The bani of Sri Guru Ravidass Ji is included in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji”, said CM Channi adding that Sri Guru Ravidass Ji laid out the concept of such an ideal society where nobody undergoes suffering of any kind.

On the occasion, the Chairman of Sri Guru Ravidass Itihasik Dharam Asthan Prabandhak Committee Sri Khuralgarh Sahib Dr. Kulvaran Singh and President Bhai Kewal Singh honoured the Chief Minister with a Siropao.

The Chief Minister also paid obeisance at holy spot ‘Charan Chhoh Ganga’ where he was felicitated by Sant Sarwan Dass and Satwinderjeet Singh Heera.

Among other dignitaries present on the occasion included Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Hussan Lal, Special Principal Secretary Kamal Kishor Yadav, Former MLA Luv Kumar Goldy, Congress leader Nimisha Mehta, Deputy Commissioner Apneet Riyait, IG G.S. Dhillon and SSP Kulwant Singh Heer.
