CHANDIGARH, November 11:
Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Wednesday mourned the demise of former Congress MLA Brij Lal Goyal (82). He breathed his last during previous night after a brief illness at Patiala and is survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter.
In his condolence message, the Chief Minister described Brij Lal Goyal as a disciplined soldier of the party, who tirelessly worked for the overall development of Patiala district.
Notably, Goyal was elected as MLA from Rajpura in 1972 and also remained Chairman PUNSUP and Punjab Pashudhan Vikas Board.
Sharing his heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved family, relatives and friends, the Chief Minister prayed to the Almighty to give them courage to bear the huge loss and to grant eternal peace to the departed soul.
Meanwhile, Member Parliament from Patiala Preneet Kaur also mourned the passing away of former Congress MLA.
