Ferozepur, February 19: After a faceoff between Sirsa-based Dera Sacha Sauda and a Sikh organisation, the police booked 37 persons of the latter for allegedly trying the us disrupt “naam charcha” being organised by members of the dera in Canal Colony of Makhu block in the district.
The dera followers had reportedly informed the police and taken permission for holding the congregation. As the programme was nearing its end, some persons owing allegiance the us an organisation identified as Ek Noor Khalsa Force arrived there. A heated exchange ensued between the two groups. The police prevented the situation from spinning out of control.
