Punjab Educare app proves landmark for online education of school students, over 350 million views so far

The ‘Punjab Educare App’ developed by the Punjab Government to continue the education of school children has proved to be a milestone for the online education of students. It has been viewed by over 350 million people so far. More than 87,000 people visit it daily.

Under the leadership of Education Minister Mr. Vijay Inder Singla and under the supervision of Education Secretary Mr. Krishan Kumar, this special online initiative of the education department has proved to be very useful for the students as well as the teachers. Its importance can be gauged from the fact that the app has so far been downloaded and is being used by over 1.6 million people, especially students and teachers.

The ‘Punjab Educare App’ was launched on July 11, 2020 for the online education of students due to the onset of Covid-19 epidemic early last year. The use of this app is increasing in other states besides Punjab. The education department has been providing many facilities through this app. The Revised syllabus for pre-primary to class XII, model test papers, daily slides, daily homework for all classes, ‘Udan’ and ‘Udan’ competitive exam series, map information, results of December tests, students performance in Punjab Achievement Survey, various activities for learning English, animated videos, information regarding ETT colleges and student learning outcomes are being uploaded on this app. Apart from this information regarding the teaching materials, learning results and ‘Mission shat Paritishat’ are also being provided by the app. Under the Secondary and Senior Secondary Wing, syllabus of all classes, text books, videos and Edusat lectures on various subjects have been also uploaded.
