Punjab education dept to conduct contests on 75th Independence Day

Chandigarh, March 11: The Punjab School Education Department has issued instructions for conducting essay, painting and declamation contests in schools in connection with the 75th Independence Day of India.

These instructions have been issued by the School Education Department in the context of the events starting across the country under the theme ‘Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav’ 75 weeks before the 75th Independence Day to be celebrated on 15th August 2022 next year.

The school education department, has issued a letter in this regard to the district education officers and school heads of the state.

The School principals have been asked to organize essay, painting and declamation contests related to the freedom struggle and the contribution of patriots. These competitions will be conducted during the periods of the respective classes as per the schedule of the schools.

The winners of the competitions will be honored at the school level. Directions have been given to fully involve non-board classes in these competitions i.e. VI, VII, IX and XI.

The information about the events of the freedom struggle will be shared to the students during the morning assembly.
