Punjab Government committed to ensure welfare of weaker sections of society-Cheema

Punjab Finance Minister Advocate Harpal Singh Cheema on Wednesday said that the Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann led Punjab Government is committed to ensure the welfare of the weaker sections of the society.

The Finance Minister gave this assurance to the common front of Rural and Farm Labourers’ organizations during a meeting with its representatives at his office here. The meeting was called to resolve the issues of these organisations at the earliest.

While discussing each and every demand raised by the front in its memorandum, Advocate Harpal Singh Cheema issued directions to the concerned departments for the early redressal of the issues besides seeking reports regarding the grievances being faced by the Rural and Farm labourers. During the meeting, the Finance Minister made it clear that the AAP government would not tolerate any injustice to the common people, especially the economically weaker sections.

Assuring the front that the government has been working on mission mode to resolve their legitimate demands, Harpal Singh Cheema fixed the next meeting with the front on September 29 to further discuss their issues and find resolution to these.
