Chandigarh, September 5:

Minister for Social Security, Women and Child Development Department Dr. Baljit Kaur today condemned the opposition asking it to refrain from getting involved in petty politics and not propagate false claims.

She said that Punjab government is committed towards welfare of all sections of society and for delivery services in a time bound manner. She said that there are a total of 30,67,927 beneficiaries of various categories in the state, including the elderly, disabled, widows and destitute women and dependent children. The pension for the month of July 2022 has been paid to these beneficiaries.

She added that instructions have been issued to all the District Social Security Officers to make the pension bills for the month of August 2022 online in order to give timely pension to the beneficiaries in the state.

Taking the opposition to task for spreading false claims she said that while the other parties were in power they did nothing for common man and now are misleading people with false claims.
