Punjab Government declares gazetted holiday on April 8

Chandigarh, April 7: Punjab Government has declared a gazetted holiday on April 8th, 2020 (Wednesday) on the eve of the birth anniversary of Sri Guru Nabha Dass Ji.

Divulging more, a government Spokesperson said that as per notification issued by the personal department the government has declared gazetted holiday on Wednesday converting the earlier announced restricted holiday into gazetted one.

He further added that all the government offices, boards, corporations, and educational institutions within the jurisdiction of the state of Punjab shall remain close on April 8.

The Spokesperson further clarified that in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic all the department pertains to essential services shall remain operational (open) like other days on April 8th, 2020.
