Chandigarh, November 29:
Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker S. Kultar Singh Sandhwan has presented a check of five lakhs to Harjinder Kaur, who won a bronze medal in weightlifting during the Commonwealth Games, for getting the higher training.
Presenting this check to Harjinder Kaur at his office in the Vidhan Sabha to Mr. Sandhwan said that the Punjab government led by Bhagwant Mann is determined to promote sports in the state and will continue to help the sportspersons in all circumstances. Harjinder Kaur won a bronze medal in the 71 kg category at the Commonwealth Games-2022.
On this occasion, Deputy Speaker of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha Jai Krishan Singh Rouri, Manwinder Singh Giaspura MLA, Gurlal Ghanour MLA, Inderjit Kaur Mann MLA, Jagrup Singh Gill MLA, Nachhatar Pal MLA, Sandeep Jakhar MLA, Sukhwinder Kumar Kotli MLA and Director Sports, Punjabi University, Patiala Professor Ajita were also present.
