Punjab Government Releases list of Holidays for year-2021

The Punjab Government on Thursday released the list of gazetted and restricted holidays for the year 2021.

Giving details, an official spokesperson of Punjab Government said that State Government today released the list of holidays in the public offices during the calendar year-2021. He said that the government offices will remain closed on all Saturdays and Sundays, there will be 26 scheduled holidays and 31 restricted holidays out of which employees can choose any two holidays.

He further said that in addition to above holidays, the Government has also listed 15 second half holidays for employees to join Nagar Kirtan/Shobha Yatra out of which employees will be permitted to avail any four second half day holidays.

He added that under the Explanation of Section 25 of the Negotiable Instrument Act, 1881 (Central Act XXVI of 1881), in addition to Sundays, Punjab Government also issued the list of 15 scheduled holidays.
