Punjab Govt decides to set up receptions in smart schools

            As a part of the efforts being made under the leadership of School Education Minister Mr. Vijay Inder Singla to give a new look to the government schools, now it has been decided to set up receptions in smart schools for the convenience of visitors. For this purpose more than Rs. 88 lakh has been released.

            Disclosing this here today a spokesperson of the school education department said that the Director General of School Education, Isha Kalia has issued a letter for the release of Rs. 88.20 lakh amount for setting up receptions in 735 smart schools in the first phase. Rs. 12000 has been released for each school. Maximum receptions (57 schools) are being set up in Ludhiana district.

            According to the spokesperson, the Punjab government has set up around 13000 smart schools in the state. Education Park, Smart Class Room, Bala Work, Color Coding, Digital Display Board, Teachers Board of Honor, Student Board of Honor, CCTV Cameras, listening labs have been set up in these schools. The process of further transformation of these schools now has been started. As part of this, it has been decided to set up receptions in smart schools so that visitors can sit comfortably in this place and receive all kinds of information.
