CHANDIGARH, DECEMBER 9:
In a bid to provide career counseling and education to the commerce students in Punjab, at school, college and university level, the School Education and Higher Education Departments today signed an MoU with Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, New Delhi (ICAI).
On this significant development, the Higher Education Minister S. Pargat Singh said that this initiative would further help the students in enhancing their education skills in commerce besides taking better career decisions. He said that this initiative includes the career counseling and training of the teacher programme also thus paving a way to secure best options to grow in life.
The Minister thanked CA Ashwani Gupta and the entire team of ICAI for taking this initiative to sign the MoU. He said that this step would go a long way in helping the students of punjab to secure positions in renowned educational institutions and MNCs.
Pertinently, the ICAI is the largest body in the world dealing with commerce education. In one of many initiatives taken by ICAI , educating the students of Government Schools from class 9 to 12th and universities, is also very important.
The MoU was signed by Secretary ICAI and Secretary Higher Education Krishan kumar on behalf of Higher Education Department and Secretary School Education Ajoy Sharma on behalf of School Education Department in the presence of Cabinet Minister Pargat Singh.
Prominent among others who were present at the occasion included DPI (Colleges) Upkar Singh, Senior Chartered Accountant Dr. Ashwani Kumar, CA Avinash Gupta Chairman NIRC and Alok.
