Chandigarh, August 6: The Punjab Government with the idea to make more employment opportunities available to the youth of Punjab has executed the integration of Punjab specific Punjab Ghar Ghar Rozgar and KArobar Mission portal with the National Career Service which is the official portal of the Government of India. Disclosing this here today the Punjab Technical Education Minister Mr. Charanjit Singh Channi said that this would open new doors pan India for skilled youth of Punjab.
The Minister said that the Punjab Government was the one who started the Job Fairs to provide jobs and self employment to the Youth of the state under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh. He said that the other states, even the GoI, started adopting the Punjab model to provide a single platform to job seekers and employers of the private sector. He said that Punjab has already conducted five Mega Job fairs and provided jobs and self employment to 12 lakh youth of the state, and Punjab Ghar Ghar Rozgar Misson is ready to provide one lakh job opportunities to the Youth during 6th Mega Job Fair which would be held in the month of September this year. He further said that presently about 8 lac youth are registered on PGGRKM portal.
Mr. Rahul Tiwari, Secretary Employment Generation said that with this integration, registered jobseekers on PGRKAM would also be able to access pan India services including all India jobs on the NCS portal without the requirement of registering again. He said that about 56305 employers who are presently registered on the National Career Scheme portal of GoI would have the visibility of jobseekers registered on PGRKAM to, thus providing our youth more employment opportunities.
The Secretary said that now youth registered on PGGRKM portal would also be able to participate in various events on the NCS portal such as Job Fairs, counseling sessions etc. The users would be able to access details of various kinds of Skill training and courses available on the NCS portal.
