Chandigarh, December 24: School education minister Punjab Mr. Vijay Inder Singla, on Thursday, informed that Punjab government has declared winter vacation from December 25 to December 31 in all government and government-aided and private schools. The cabinet minister said that the schools will re-open on January 1.
Mr. Vijay Inder Singla said that in view of the winter season, the education department has decided to provide winter break to students and staff of schools. He added that due to Covid-19 pandemic, students only from classes 9 to 12 have been allowed in schools to attend physical classes so far.
Mr. Singla said that the state government is committed to ensure safety of students and every possible measure is being taken to provide safe and secure environment for students in government schools.
