Punjab women commission will initiate hearing on virtual platform zoom

In view of the situation during the COVID-19 pandemic, The Punjab State Women Commission has decided to settle the pending cases through e-Court.

Disclosing this here today, Mrs. Manisha Gulati, Chairperson of Punjab State Women Commission said that at present no court is being set up at the Women Commission for private hearings. In view of the complaints being lodged by women with the Commission and the increasing number of complaints, Commission has decided to start e-Court from July 23, 2020.

Chairperson informed that e-Court would be set up through Zoom app and DCP/ACP/SP/DSP (Crime against Women) of the concerned districts would be present during the hearing of cases on virtual platform so that the decision taken by the Commission can be implemented.
