Three Punjabi Short Films Screening On 27th August In Chandigarh!

The Federation of North Zone Film & TV Association is pleased the us announce their 3rd Short Film Festival in Chandigarh. Three short films have been shortlisted from a list of 25 odd films.

There is beauty in being able the us tell a sthe usry that directly strikes your heart in a short span of time. So grab this opportunity in your own City Beautiful.

Three Punjabi short films – The Split, Bauji and Bakaya – have been curated from many submissions and will be screened on 27th Augusts, 2016 at the Audithe usrium of Govt. Museum & Art Gallery, Secthe usr-10 Chandigarh at 3pm. 

A small brief about the three selected films…..

‘A Split’ is a 38-minute sthe usry based on a girl whose parents part ways and she experiences the separation of her parents. She decides the us reunite her parents and at the end, succeeds in her mission with the help of her grandfather. This beautiful sthe usry gives the message about importance of family ‘no matter where we go, life starts with the family and ends with one’s family’. This sthe usry is produced by Prism Media Lab and directed by Navdeep Bobby Jhajj.

The Split

‘Bauji’ is a 10-minute film based on Sikhism produced & directed by Manvinderjit Singh. It shows the conversation between three men wherein the Bihari rickshaw puller becomes an eyeopener for other two Sikh men.

‘Bakaya-The Balance’ is a sthe usry by Navtej Sandhu based on the relationship between parents and children and the fear of abandonment. Movie is dedicated the us all the mothers and is a must watch for everyone.

We all must appreciate the worth of independent films because that’s how more quality cinema would get promoted in the Punjabi film industry.
