New Delhi, January 5: Efforts are being made to ensure that various industrial clusters are formed in Punjab to give maximum financial assistance to the city-based industrialists, said DPS Kharbanda, Director of Industries and Commerce, Punjab to the industrialists.
Kharbanda said this while addressing a gathering of industrialists at an event.
He said the assistance will be provided both from the state as well as the central government.
He also discussed various issues, including the status of proposed clusters of Punjab government, problems related to export etc.
He revealed that the Punjab government has issued clear cut instructions that the officers should themselves visit industrialists for the redress of their problems.
Kharbanda informed the businessmen that the process of forming 12 different clusters for different industries of Ludhiana district has already begun.
He told the industrialists that the meeting regarding the auto parts cluster would be held at Chandigarh on January 4.
He also appealed to the industrialists to ensure updating of some of the agreements and Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) signed from their end.
The businessmen also discussed the important issues related to industry.
On this occasion, the businessmen submitted a memorandum to the industries director.
