PYDB Chairman Bindra congratulates Indian Men Hockey Team for securing Bronze for India

Punjab Youth Development Board Chairman Mr. Sukhwinder Singh Bindra congratulated the Indian Men’s Hockey Team for winning a Bronze Medal in the Tokyo Olympics, saying that it is a matter of great pride for us that after 41 years, the Indian hockey team has won a medal in these coveted games.

In a press communiqué, Mr. Bindra said, “It is the day, which was eagerly awaited. And, now the Olympics bronze is in our hands.” He said that Punjab is capturing its numero-uno spot in the field of sports and it is all due to the efforts of Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh led state government’s untiring efforts for promoting sports among the youths of the state.

He said that the state government has always stood with the youngsters of the state. Besides creating state of the art sports infrastructure in the state, it has also distributed ultra-modern sporting equipment to them. He informed that the board is distributing 2500 sports kits to the youth for their advancement in sports and staying away from drugs and bringing forward Punjab name in the field of sports at the national and international level.

Chairman Bindra also categorically announced, “If any sportsperson encounters any obstacle in sports in future then he will be ready to help him in any way he can. He appealed to the youth to increase their interest in sports and adopt a good lifestyle to stay away from drugs and make their country and state famous in sports. He said that Punjab Youth Development Board will also honour the Hockey Team and give them Certificate of Appreciation on this achievement.
