Raj Babbar’s tweet on falling rupee targets Modi; Rupani demands apology

Date:

Chandigarh, November 23: A tweet by Congress leader Raj Babbar on the falling rupee targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi has led to a controversy.

In the tweet, Babbar says that during the Congress government at the Centre, Modi would compare the extent of the falling rupee to the then prime minister’s age. He further says that now under the current government the rupee has fallen to the extent that it almost touches the age of the PM’s mother.

Reacting to this, Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani said the Congress is stooping low and making nasty comments. He said comparing the rupee vs dollar to the age of Modiji’s mother showed Babbar’s mentality and he should immediately apologise.
