The Gabru of Punjab who has always entertained us through his talent and skills, whether it’s singing or writing. As the latest entry of a singer to the Punjabi film industry is Ranjit Bawa who is beginning his actor role as the lead character in ‘Toofan Singh’.
This movie is based on violence against innocent Sikhs and Hindus by the hardliners. This concept sells really well in Punjab and probably that’s why Mr Bawa chose this movie. But to be very honest, the dialogue delivery is not that impressive as someone would expect it to be. I mean, the character with the name Toofan should sound really bold and aggressive. But in context of Ranjit Bawa playing the role of Toofan Singh, this didn’t come out. In fact, the junior Toofan Singh sounds more powerful than the senior – Ranjit Bawa.

Also starring Shefali Sharma, Yaad Grewal, Sunita Dhir, Yashpal Sharma, Sardar Sohi, Deepraj Rana, Mangal Dhillon, Raza Murad, Prince Kanwaljeet, Jarnail Singh, Narinder Nina, Gurmeet Sajan, Mahabir Bhullar, Damanpreet Singh, Sukhbir Singh, Avtar Gill, Ali Khan, this movie is set to hit the theatres on 4th August.
Made under the direction of Baghal Singh, this movie seems to loaded with action scenes and militancy. It’s no fiction, it’s based on true incidents. Let’s see how director’s gonna make us relive history!!
