Revenue officials call off strike after minister Bram Shanker Jimpa intervenes

After the intervention and assurance by Punjab Revenue, Rehabilitation and Disaster Management Minister Mr. Bram Shanker Jimpa, the staff of Revenue Department, on Wednesday, called off strike and assured the minister to immediately return to work to provide hassle free services to public with full zeal and in transparent manner.

During a meeting with Punjab Revenue Officers Association here at Punjab Bhawan, the Revenue Minister assured representatives of the association that all their demands will be considered sympathetically, while asking them to immediately join their offices in larger public interest.

Mr. Bram Shanker Jimpa said that under the able guidance of Aam Aadmi Party Convener Mr. Arvind Kejriwal and Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government has been committed for the welfare of the employees and the demands of Punjab Revenue Officers Association will be taken up with the Chief Minister to resolve them.

Additional Chief Secretary-cum-FCR Mr. Vijay Kumar Janjua and other officials were also present during the meeting.
