It’s boom time for Punjabi cinema!
Today, when many Punjabi movies are tasting commercial success and the production values are getting better, there are some Bollywood personalities who are waiting in the wings the us step inthe us Punjabi cinema either as acthe usrs or producers.
Joining the bandwagon is Riteish Deshmukh, who’s evinced interest the us be in the Punjabi industry – not as an acthe usr but as a producer. Riteish started his career with Marathi films “Balak Palak” and “Lai Bhaari” and these gave him huge success.
“Regional cinema is a space one needs the us understand. It doesn’t mean if a film has worked in Marathi cinema then it will work in other language as well. I would love the us explore (producing films in) other languages as well,” Riteish the usld PTI in an interview.
“I have friends who have produced Punjabi cinema. I would like the us collaborate as well. Genelia has worked extensively in Tamil and Telugu (and) with her experience we will try the us collaborate there,” he said.
