SAD delegation to meet Punjab Governor today

Chandigarh,  October 16: A high level delegation of the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), led by party president Sukhbir Badal, will meet Punjab Governor VP Singh Badnore on Tuesday at 12:30 pm to apprise him about some urgent issues of the state.

SAD delegation would submit a memorandum to the Governor briefing him about issues like UT Chandigarh Administration’s discrimination with Punjabi language while making recruitment of teachers, ongoing strike by teachers in Punjab, denying of scholarship to Scheduled Caste (SC) students, reducing of fuel prices, and deterioration of law and order in the state, said SAD senior vice-president and party spokesman Daljit Singh Cheema. Cheema said that senior leaders of the party would be a part of the delegation.
