Sarpanches, panchayat members and leaders of all political parties are joining the AAP

Date:

Jalandhar, April 25

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is the strongest front for the Jalandhar by-poll as it is the first choice of all the local leaders like sarpanches, panchayat members, block committee members and all the social and political leaders who are joining the party ahead of elections here.

On Tuesday, BSP’s former state president Rachhpal Singh Raju and former sarpanch of Bada Pind Rurka and CPF leader Mela Singh joined the Aam Aadmi Party with their supporters. Both the leaders have a strong hold among the people of Doaba and they are respected by the people of every community in Jalandhar.

On the behalf of AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal and AAP Punjab President CM Bhagwant Mann, Harpal Singh Cheema officially welcomed both the leaders to the AAP family. Along with Cheema, Cabinet Minister Lalchand Kataruchakk, AAP Punjab general secretary Harchand Singh Barsat and other party office bearers were also present.

Apart from Rachhpal Singh Raju and Mela Singh, Suchcha Singh Maan, Amrik Singh Nijjar, Mohan Lal Ramgarhia, Harbhajan Singh Kaler, Dalvir Singh Raju, Kuldeep Singh, Subhash Chandra, Surjit Singh, Sunil Kumar, Harmesh Lal, Dharampal Gola, Davinder Garhshankar, Gurdeep Ghaso, Sahil Gangad, Bobby Shah, Amandeep Singh, Manish Kumar, Deepak Garhshankar, Babbi Jalandhar and Ajay Partap also joined the Aam Aadmi Party.

Addressing the media on this occasion, AAP leader Harpal Singh Cheema said that the AAP candidate Sushil Kumar Rinku will register a big win in this by-election. People of all sections, impressed by the policies of our national convenor Arvind Kejriwal and performance of Bhagwant Mann led AAP government in the state, are continuously joining the Aam Aadmi Party. He said that the AAP family is expanding not only in Punjab but pan India because people are rejecting the BJP for its anti-people policies and actions. He said that Modi is targeting opposition parties and leaders but now the people are aware that it is threatening our democracy so through this by-election they will teach the BJP a lesson too.

Similarly, Harchand Singh Barsat said that we delivered on our promises of 300 units/month free electricity, employment, good schools, mohalla clinics and corruption free system. The performance of the Mann government in the last year was up to the expectations of the people and in this by-election people will vote for the AAP wholeheartedly because they will reward party for their ‘politics of work’.
