Date:

Sangrur, 11 February 2022

Aam Aadmi Party’s senior leader and Leader of Opposition Harpal Singh Cheema accused Congress of selling MLAs tickets to sand, liquor, transport and drug mafia leaders so that they can strengthen the mafia rule after becoming MLA. Cheema assured the people of Punjab that after the formation of the Aam Aadmi Party government in the state, the mafia rule would be ended. People who looted the state’s money through the mafia will be recovered from them and given to people.

While talking to media at the party office in Sangrur on Friday, Harpal Singh Cheema said, “Senior Congress leader and MP Shamsher Singh Dullo has made serious allegations against Congress and Chief Minister Charanjit Singh of selling tickets to people running mafia. Shamsher Singh Dullo has confirmed the allegations levelled by the Aam Aadmi Party on Congress and Channi that the Congress government is involved with sand, liquor, transport and drug mafia.

Cheema said that the sand mafia, liquor mafia, transport mafia, cable mafia and drug mafia were set up in Punjab by the Shiromani Akali Dal government and Sukhbir Singh Badal. Congress and Captain Amarinder Singh had promised to eliminate all the mafia from Punjab, but instead of tightening the noose around the mafia rule.Captain Amarinder Singh and Charanjit Singh Channi have carried forward the mafia.

AAP leader said that senior party leader Raghav Chadha and the media had raided an illegal sand mine running in Chief Minister Channi’s constituency, Sri Chamkaur Sahib, and exposed that the illegal mining was being done under the protection of Channi. Now when the Enforcement Directorate (ED) raided his nephew’s house and recovered crores of rupees, it has been cleared that the sand mafia was running under CM Channi’s patronage.
