Chandigarh, February 25: As many as 3,000 Indian Sikh pilgrims have been granted 10-day visa for Vaisakhi Mela by Pakistan government.
Visa has been granted amidst the ongoing tensions after Pulwama attack.
It is learnt that Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has given special instructions to Evacuee Trust Property Board to greet these devotees by providing them proper travelling, food and medical facilities.
The Indian Sikh pilgrims will leave for Pakistan on April 12 in special trains. According to media reports, Pakistani authorities will welcome them at the Wagah Railway Station. On April 12 itself, the pilgrims will leave for the Panja Sahab Gurdwara in Hasan Abdal. The official event will take place on April 14.
On April 15 and 17, the pilgrims will visit Janam Asthan Gurdwara and Sacha Sauda Gurudwara in Farooqabad, respectively. The pilgrims will also visit Lahore and the tour will end on April 21.
