Singla along with cabinet colleagues meets victim families in Lakhimpur Kheri

Date:

Lakhimpur Kheri/Chandigarh, October 8:

Punjab Public Works and Administrative Reforms Minister Mr. Vijay Inder Singla along with other cabinet colleagues today visited the home of martyred farmers at Lakhimpur Kheri to share their grief and assured that the whole country stand by them. While assuring the victim families of every possible help, Mr. Singla said justice must be ensured and they would keep putting pressure on the Centre Government to immediately sack the Minister of State Ajay Mishra and arrest his son Ashish Mishra who brutally mowed down the farmers protesting peacefully on the road.

Mr. Vijay Inder Singla said that the farmers are the backbone of the country and their murder in broad daylight was heart wrenching and extremely distressing. Singla said that his heart bleeds for the farmers who sacrifice so much for the country but they were being treated so badly by the BJP leaders for their vested interests.

He added that the BJP leaders including Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar were regularly instigating the anti-social elements to attack the farmers protesting against three draconian agriculture laws of the Centre Government. He added that after the bloodshed of farmers, the BJP leaders took a U-turn by taking back their words in the name of self defense.

Singla made a commitment to always stand by farmers and keep raising their voice and assured every possible help to the victim families.
