Singla hands over appointment letters to 83 employees in Education Department

School Education and Public Works Minister Punjab Mr. Vijay Inder Singla today handed over appointment letters to 83 newly-appointed employees in the School Education department on various posts on compassionate grounds. On this occasion, 2 Master cadre and 2 ETT teachers, 1 library restorer, 9 clerks and 69 class IV employees were given appointment letters.

The cabinet minister informed that the education department rapidly processed the applications of family members of the deceased employees and all the recruitment process was completed online. He added that as many as 106 cases were cleared by the Punjab Government within months after receiving applications from the families and appointment letters in remaining cases would be sent soon. He said that out of total 106 cases, 3 posts were of master cadre, 2 of ETT teachers, 12 were of clerks, 1 of Library Restorer and 88 were of class IV employees.

Addressing the newly appointed employees, Mr. Vijay Inder Singla urged them to discharge their responsibilities diligently and honestly. He said, “Your first responsibility is to provide monetary support to your families and others is to work diligently and honestly towards the well being of the concerned department.” This is the basic platform and you have the power to achieve further opportunities with your potential and hard work in future, he added.

On this occasion, Mr. Krishan Kumar, Secretary School Education, Mr. Sukhjitpal Singh, DPI (Secondary Education), Chairman Punjab School Education Board Mr. Yograj were also present.
