Medicine Hat, Alberta: October 26: Alberta Premier Danielle Smith is in Medicine Hat campaigning for a seat in the Alberta Legislature.
Back on Oct. 8, Smith announced she would be running in the Brooks-Medicine Hat constituency vacated by Michaela Frey.
Smith toured the Root Cellar Food & Wellness Hub on Tuesday morning and spoke with local volunteers before heading over to Medicine Hat College.
The United Conservative Party leader says her first two weeks as premier have been extremely busy but plans on spending more time in the riding leading up to the by-election on Nov. 8.
On Wednesday, the Premier got a warm welcome at the opening of her campaign office.
Medicine Hat you are amazing! 😍
Our campaign office was too small, so we moved the fun outside for a classic truck bed speech.
I am so grateful to the over 130 people that came to officially open our campaign office! Let’s win this.#abpoli #letswin #ableg pic.twitter.com/aJun8Ljdoy

She will be door-knocking and talking to voters in Redcliff on Tuesday evening and plans on holding rallies over the next two weeks.
Smith says Medicine Hat will no longer be the “forgotten corner” and plans to make twinning Highway 3 a priority.
NDP Leader Rachel Notley was also in Medicine Hat today and both will be spending the next few days in the riding.
