‘Good Man Di Laaltain’ song: Gulzar uses old Punjabi saying to pen Soorma track

Date:

The makers of Soorma have released the song ‘Good Man Di Laaltain’, penned by Gulzar. Known for his immaculate Urdu lyrics, the song sees a departure from Gulzar’s otherwise signature style.

The music composer trio of Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy use a groovy pop score to Gulzar’s words. The music is upbeat, and the choreography seems to deliberately clumsy as the lead characters are sportpersons, not professional dancers.

The song comes alive through the powerful of voice of Sukhwinder Singh. Sunidhi Chauhan compliments Sukhwinder with an energetic performance of her own.

Soorma is will be out in theatres on 13 July.
