Speaker mourns passing away of Sant Baba Dilawar Singh

Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Rana K.P. Singh has condoled sad demise of Sant Baba Dilawar Singh, who passed away after a brief illness at village Manko Jabbar in Jalandhar district on Thursday evening. He was the head of Dera Sant Baba Bhag Singh.

In his condolence message, the Speaker described Sant Baba Dilawar Singh ji as a great spiritual leader, social reformer and philanthropist, who played a frontal role for the welfare of disadvantaged sections of the society. He was the Chancellor of Sant Baba Bhag Singh University, Khayala (Jalandhar). Being Chancellor of the university, he made an enormous contribution towards the spread of quality higher education in the rural areas specially in Doaba region. “The selfless services of Sant Baba Dilawar Singh would be ever remembered by one and all” he added.

Sharing his heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved family, devotees and prominent NRI Jatinder Minhas (Canada) Rana K.P. Singh prayed to the Almighty to give strength to them to bear this irreparable loss in this hour of grief and grant eternal peace to the departed soul.
